Visualising the essence of spring through digital abstraction. Commissioned by the Viaduct Harbour, 'Wild Bloom' takes cues from the three line structure of traditional Haiku to form a trio of distinct kaleidoscopic bouquets. Each arrangement flows into the next, transforming in shape and colour to reflect seasonal change.

During the process of developing ‘Wild Bloom’, a few haiku’s were written to accompany the art. However, none of the attempts truly captured the spirit of the project quite like one of Matsuo Basho’s early works, which served as an ongoing inspiration throughout;

spring winds
hoping the flowers burst
out in laughter
